C=Ontario truck plant
FA6554=1979 model year sequential serial number

Errors and omissions related to some Engine, Model and Trans codes. Fordification claims info is from the '73/79 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog.

It ain't, it's from the POS Red Book, an abomination foisted on mankind, originally written/published by two members of the Fabulous 50's Ford Club.
