Just about all the decoders (including FTE's) are pretty much worthless. They are full of omissions and errors.
I use the Ford factory parts catalogs to decode the VINs.
They're avaliable on CD from hipoparts.com and others.

Thanks, I was wanting to know which character is the engine displacement and what's what???
You can post your VIN, and someone can decode it rather quickly. If you're not fully comfortable posting the full VIN, use "X"s for the last 4-5 digits (usually numbers) as they don't make much difference. The first 5 tell model, engine, and assembly plant. The rest is build number, and can pinpoint the exact year.
The first three digits are the model, the fourth digit is engine displacement, the fifth is assembly plant, the last six digits are the consecutive serial number.
