Some more vin decoding needed
Hoping some wonder can decipher my recent purchase Ranchero chassis and drive train for me.

Long time no hear! I purchase a 57 F100 swb Big window project; setting on a 73 Ranchero chassis & Drive train.
appericate the link; isn't as user friendly as a truck vin access. The chassis is for sure a 73; the motor valve covers are 351C; doesn't mean its a 351c; the trans looks to be C4. I would love to have a means to get the whole thing decipher; to include the rear axle ratio.
I might be force to doing it the old school way thought.

1st letter F. just means its a Ford.
so on that note.
3 - 1973
A - Built in Atlanta
47 - Ranchero 500
H - 351 Engine v8 2b Windsor and Cleavland have the same Engine code in the vin.
254598 - unit number
that was the easy part.
Body 97- Supposta be GT body but the Vin Code doesnt match for this.
In the Veh Vin for a GT its 48.
Color F6 - all i can find was a Metallica Green.
Trim VFA - this is the interior color code. i cant find this one.
Axle 6 - Conventional 3.00:1 Ratio Axle
Trans X- FMX
DSO 74- Seattle region
i cant take all the credit for this some of it was copy paste from what ive found and some of it is what ive learned off mine.

The vin for customs chero frame is 47 for the ranchero 500. His body code is 97. might wana double check the door tag.
My 78 is a 48 for GT and 97R for GT body.
His is 3a47hxxxxxx

It took me a few days to find all the info for my door tag. Out of boardom i did spend about an hour looking up the info for his vin. Though the years between ours are far some info is the same.
These are the 3 codes for the dash vin between the 3. I don't know the codes for the body door tag between them.
Besides 97D being 500 and 97R is GT. My dads old chero was a 97D and his 2nd chero was 97R, 1 year older and paint negitive to mine.
Ranchero 1970 - 1979
47 500 -- 97D
48 GT -- 97R
49 Squire --
