Just Another Vin Decode Please...
Hi Everyone, I Know This Is Another Vin Question But I Am New Here, So I Was Wondering If Someone Could Tell Me The Information On My Vin Plate On My 1965 F-100 Stepside. It Reads.

FOMOCO1965, the answer is NO! Just kidding, WB is the wheel base in inches, Color, i'm lost, body, i'm still lost as well as axle. Trans, C-4, DSO is the district that the vehicle was delivered and any special ordered factory items installed. A little help with the puzzle, maybe someone else on this form will save us. FOMO- First off, welcome aboard here!
Secondly, here are more specifics to your VIN that are associated to the model year you have:
F10=f100 4x2
d=352 V8
k=Kansas City assembly
703444=June 1965 build
Wb=Wheel base 115 inches
Color T=Sandshell Beige
Body D81= sorry can't figure that one..
Trans G=Crius-o-matic (no C4 auto's behind a FE engine)
Axle A8= 3.54:1 ratio
DSO are dealer options, someone here has all those code numbers

The VIN numbers are also stamped into the top of the frame on the passenger side between the front wheel and the radiator support. This can also be found under the cab too but that requires a little more work 
of course the other items like gearing and DSO codes are a little tougher to figure out, the rest is relatively easy after you have looked at or seen 20-30 of these trucks...
