Over the past few weeks I've noticed my left blinker coming on at random. Bumping the stick to the momentary position doesn't usually get rid of it, I have to go all the way to the full on then bump it off and it usually goes away. Then in the past week I've noticed when I start up the truck that the left blinker goes on. Most of the time I start up my truck with the remote start, but I have also noticed (to a lesser amount) that the blinker comes on with the key start too.
Has anyone else seen this? I did bring it up to the dealer. I may get my truck in next week or the week after for fuel filters and whatever else (30k mark) and they said they could diagnose the blinkers and check codes too.
I'm getting an occasional single wipe of the wipers on start up every once in a while. I do not have remote start. I would bet it's related to your issues. Prolly won't bring mine in till after the holidays unless something more serious developes.
Me too, on the mystery wipe. I have courtesy wipe turned off.
I have the courtesy wipe turned on, so that does not seem to matter. I am thinking the combo switch. Its most likely a voltage coded type switch (which work by having a specfic resistor for each position of the switch, gets sent a referance voltage, 5v usually, and after going through said resistor the voltage remaining goes back to tell ECU switch position) and resistance could be off slightly. Or voltage drop caused by starting causes a false reading, but thats why 5v is used to ensure consistent voltage. Either way without a bullitin or more frequent occurences I don't think the dealer is going to havve any luck chasing it down.
When I hit the 'light' tap on the left blinker sometimes it will hang up and stay on. I can feel a rough spot. Will mention it to the dealer at the 30k service.
