Does anyone know if you use the remote start in cold weather, does it activate the glow plugs for the appropriate amount of time before the start? Or should I manually start it when its cold out and wait for the glow plug indicater to turn off before starting?
The truck takes care of everything.
Press the buttons on your remote and wait for it to start.
Starting with the key is still computer controlled.
If you didn't know already, you can flick the key to start and let go and the truck still starts itself.
I never hold the key to start in this truck.
This has created problems when I try to start other vehicles...

LOL, me too!
It always seems to me that the remote start doesn't wait as long as I do sitting in the cab waiting for the glow plug light to go out. Ill be interested to see how it reacts once the temps really start dropping.
