Put a performance muffler on there and you'll still get a good sound, but it'll have all the high frequency cracks and pops taken out - and it'll sound more like a high performance engine and less like your muffler rusted off.

...what? Removing any emissions equipment is against the law, as well as being obnoxiously loud. They will pull a loud diesel over just as fast as a gasser.
