ok I have to replace the mounts in the core support, the cab mounts are already done by the guy who did my floors, and after reading the entire Haynes manual and searching on here I can't find the procedure and torque specs etc.
Is there a specific torque range for body/cab mounts? and can anyone give advice on an easy way to replace the front ones in the core support?
There is a specific torque for the bolts. Core support 40 ft-lbs, body mounts 50 ft-lbs. This is from the Ford shop manual.
As for removal, the steps the manual describe are pretty much just common sense and intuitive. It says to remove the bolt, raise the sheetmetal enough for the mount to clear, screw a bolt into the mount and take a long rod and put on the bolt head, then hit the rod with a hammer to remove the lower tapered washer (AKA reatainer, Ford assumes these will just "pop" off). Assemble in reverse order.
