I'm right there with ya, my financial position with getting only about $50 per paycheck doesn't leave me with a lot to spend on trips.. The only time i really drive the truck is to work at night and thats cause it is freakin cold out now. And i got pulled over on my bicycle for not having lights or reflectors...

I had an idea and It's probably not a new one.
Carpooling, or more appropriate for this bunch, Truckpooling.
It would mean less trucks at a meet but, more people. I'd rather have more people and fewer trucks than fewer people and fewer trucks.

I had been thinking about that too. If we have one up north, maybe gruesomejeans could catch a ride with yahiko, and comp for gas. If it's on the island up here, you'd only need to pay the passenger fee coming on. Passengers are free going off the island

I too had thought about this but I really don't want to leave ol TGM behind to miss out on being shown off haha. But if that was the only way to do it, depending on the fees I might be able to swing something like that.

Well Grue, It's a good idea no matter where the meet is.
That being said, still looking forward to a meet on the island.

well fellas, i'm gonna try to make it. renton isn't too bad for me, only about an hour drive, and since i drive so much anyway, it doesn't bother me a bit. i'm halfway up stevens pass, in the town of index. ain't nothing out there, thats why i drive so much
as far as i'm concerned, if i'm free and its not more than about 1.5 hours away, its good enough for me

Yeah. I generally look forward to a meet anywhere. I'm not sure so much about the island but if it comes down to that then i will see what i can do. The biggest factor is money. My birthday is on the 18th so i might get some money, then once i see how long the drive would be, i can look at how much gas is needed. When all is said and done if i am financially available for driving the bronco over then me and sean could meet up and do a small cruise there. That way i won't end up lost

I can hear the rust falling of the brain gears.
Lots of squeaking.

All that does is wash off the pizza grease if you
are not putting some fresh pizza in.

My brain gears consist of some chipped teeth and greaseless bearings that have been overheated 1 too many times... I don't really want to bother trying to calculate my mpg vs driving miles due to the depression of knowing my actual mpg. I will assume that i get 20mpg and remain happy and vigilant. then i gradually take out a loan for $200 to fill my tank . Not really, i don't have that ability BUT i have savings bonds.

well no promises i'll be home when you pass by - i'm usually either on the road to see clients, or in bed up here. but occasionally i'm around.
it seems index is pretty well known for a tiny nothing-town

Honestly that sounds like my town of Algona. I have never heard of Index. Most people i mention my town too have never heard of it. I have to explain that we are the little town right next to the Auburn Super mall.
