alternator wiring

I have a 2000 ford ex that orginally had a V10. I've recently installed a first generation cummins. I am going to use an alternator off a 99-02 powerstroke however my V10 harness doesn't plug into the diesel alternator.I went to ford and got a pig tail for the diesel alternator. Just wondering if anyone could help me with the wiring. According to my hayes manual the wire colors are the same, but the pig tail i got from ford just has black wires coming out of it.The V10 wiring has three wires in the pig tail and a jumper wire so 4 wires total not counting the battery hot. The diesel has two wires not including battery hot from what i can tell from the manual.

Looking at the front of my alt. with the harness plugged in the harness on mine it has a pinkish w/ blue stripe to th left (closer to the bat wire) and a green w/brown stripe wire to the right. The center spot on the harness is blank. Hope that helps.
