so what i am working on is a 1993 f250 that was the 7.3idi turbo diesel and i had a 96 di powerstroke motor in the garage and decided that i wanted to put the 96 motor in my 93 pickup so all has went good so far engine fits in bolts up and is looking good. Well the wiring has been a bit of a pain i had a 96 parts truck that i had purchased a few months back for this very reason jobs like this so right now i have rewired under the hood and in the cab and i am getting no power into the cab nothing at all i am stumped got any ideas??
Just throwing out guesses here, but something to do with the plug at the firewall? Not sure if you just unplugged the under hood harness from the idi and plugged the powerstroke harness in. Maybe they are set up differently? Hope this helps, just throwing out guesses.
yes i did a complete swap i took all of the 93 wiring out and put the 96 in but i opened the fuze pannel and no fuzes or relays were present so i repaced them and everything is lighting up but my key isnt starting the truck si im putting in a push start
yea i did i could be that but a push start button wouldnt be that hard to put in because the key starts up all the pumps and every thing when i put it over in the run position
Last time I checked, the bulkhead connector on the firewall for the interior electronics is pinned differently between '93 and '96.. Are you using the original '93 interior harness or the '96 interior harness?
