Hey guys I'm new to the forums here and I need some help. I have a 2000 F350 and the pinion bearing went out on me, so I want to try and rebuild the rear but I having a hard time trying to find out what rear is in my truck. The code on the shock mount is YC354A047, which I believe is the one I need. Thanks in advance for the help

Actually you need to get the codes off the differential housing. See link below.
I've looked and looked and looked and I can't find a tag no where on the rear diff. The only thing that I can find is the numbers in the housing. Is there anyone that help me out.
A quick way to tell is this. Mark the u-joint with a marker. Then mark your tire. For example. I could have this reversed. It is not exact but should get you close. For a 4:10 the drive shaft should rotate 4 times to the wheel's 1. It is easier with the pumpkin cover off to check directly with the gears. But the outside should get you in the neighborhood. I could be totally off. I remember I used this once or twice when I was younger getting a axle from the junk yard. Perhaps someone has a better method.

What year/model of truck and have you checks the door tag for the axle code? Inside driver's door?
Edit - sorry saw you had that in your OP - check the door tag - what is the axle code?
