Somewhere on here I found and printed the SGII instructions to make a 9v power cable for it. I did and it works fine EXCEPT the instructions to get into the "TEST MODE" don't work for me....help anyone?
I had no problems getting mine into test mode... aka the mode that stabilizes the display and prevents the screen from going blank/to sleep. If the letters/words stay on the screen you are in test mode, "Test Mode" is not displayed on the screen. Hope you get it to work!
Here's a copy of the instructions I have:
Power up the unit.
Press the button next to “MORE” (middle button on right side) 2 times.
Then press the lower left button 5 times.
Then press the lower right power up button with the red circle around it. You now should now be in “Test Mode”.
This stabilizes the display and will make it easier to enter the codes. If you don’t get it into “Test Mode” the cursor will be erratic and the gauge will periodically go to sleep.
I went through the same thing when I first hooked it up to the 9v. Had to do it again before I realized it had worked! LOL That 9v hookup is a huge convenience when programming the SGII. I was able to sit in my chair, enlarge the programming sequences text on the computer monitor and plug them all in. Good luck!
