Injector 6 replacement

i have a 06 f250 with a bad injector. Is it worth thee 700 bucks to get it done at the dealer or is it a job you can do at home? The truck only has 44,500...

Very possible to do it at home, I did. Here is a good thread from the tech folder telling you what you need for tools, and how to do it.

I replaced mind at home, but it did not fix the problem....and a Ford Dealership is who told me that it was bad.....shows P0276 P0278, so now trying to locate electrical problem... out the cost of an injector.

...and even then it may NOT be the injector.

Who said it was an injector? Do you have a Scan Gauge II yet?( Or equivalent) Every 6.0 driver should have this instrument to help with troubleshooting their engine problems!

It COULD be the FICM low voltage. Or a number of other things.

Bud, I was just assuming since he specifically said #6 injector, he knew it was bad. And anybody with that many numbers in their pseudonym must be smart...

Where in TX are you? There are a couple of PSD savy folks scattered around TX that could give you a hand figuring out if (A) if you have injector problems and (B) give you a hand getting it fixed.
