I have a 2002 F-250 and after I rolled over 300K miles one of my hubs finally went out. I wanted to know what spline my axle would be so i can order some new ones and what brand should i get, i was planning on getting warn.
I had one hub break about a month ago and I only had the driver side hub lock. Now im having another problem. I have 4x4 shift on the fly with locking hubs. I noticed that i have vaccum lines going to the hubs. And now the driver side will not lock and no vaccum is going into the lines. i replaced all the vaccum lines to make sure i had no leak but i found the lines conected to this unit (i dont know what it is) (has a wiring harness the plugs into it). I think it might be bad but i dont know what it is. What is that part called. I know it is bad because i found water in the vaccum lines and it went all the way to this component and i dont believe water and electricity mix to good.
I think the only difference is the dually front axle and the single rear wheel front axle. If I remember correctly there is only two different part numbers for our trucks. Check out warns website, it should be able to get the number for ya. You will not regret the warns. Have Warn premiums and I love them? I think Clay at riffraff has the best prices I have seen on them.
Similar question. When I changed out my ball joints, I lost my electronic vacuum 4x4. Which usually goes bad the steering knuckle seal at the back or the yellow o-ring up front or both? I greased both putting them back in, but they must still leak...
If you have the electronic 4x4 shifter instead of the manual lever on the floor, yes. They are manual in one position and auto in the other. If you have the manual lever, hubs are either in or out, no auto position.
