Inner snap ring on warn hubs

TJ, and cathunt, , I had the same snapring come off on my new Warn hub. I posted on another thread with more details. It happened twice on the same side, and twice i put it back together. Now, i also swapped sides, and also greased the axle shaft up good, and now it is staying put. I do not know exactly went wrong on mine, but so far, so good. Warn gave me a list of things to check, like wheel bearings, driveshaft joints, and needle bearings, but i am pretty sure all this is OK on my truck.

What did you learn about the cause for your problems, or, how did it get solved?

I have put it back together two times on this new hub it has been about a month and all is good i hope. If not i will try to grease my axle shaft like you said maybe there is a bur or something on it. i dont know, if you find out any more info let me know thanks.

I sent Warn an explanation of what the problem was, and that i swapped/greased the hubs, and now no more problems.....they offered to replace the hub anyway, no more questions asked........
