Pulling power

Hey! I have a 89 f250 with the 7.5. Everything is stock in it. How much can it realisticly pull?

Whatever your manual says it can. Probably ~10-11,000 pounds if you have 4.10 axle gears and an E4OD, ~8,000 with 3.55:1 gears.

Realistically a lot more haha ive pulled 17000 with mine before just fine. But it will take a toll on your truck.

Mine is geared with 4.10's and a e40d. And if i remember right it says the gear ratio on the door jam or gives a code for it. And the axle should have a tag on one of the cover bolts if it is still there and legable it will say. Just cause you can do it doesn't mean you should tho. I feel as if im experienced enough to do it and a good trailer that is properly loaded and trailer brakes are a biggie. Also a truck that is not designed to do it will not live forever doing it.

They are pretty burly trucks, I wouldn't be afraid to hook 10,000 lbs behind mine and go anywhere, mine is a 96 5spd 410 gears, On occasion I would say what ever you need to pull, make sure your tires and brakes are good.
