You could put a gear vendors overdrive in it but thats kinda expensive i looked at re gearing my big truck and was told it would cost $1000 an axle for parts and labor and they say the tools to do it yourself ain't cheap

I've dealt with randys ring and pinion before and they were reasonably priced and they had great customer service. I'd definitely buy from them again if I needed to

If I were you I'd go with 3.73's. I someday am going to put them in mine. I like my 3.55's but would like about 200rpm more when pulling at like 70, and that is what I do most. I speed up it works better, but I don't want to buy lots of blown trailer tires either so I keep it at 70 or less when hot. You'll knock off 300+ rpm going to 3.73's from 4.10's.
I hate my 3.55 or towing in my 96 2wd f250 but good on highway
When I redo my big truck nothing average or factory is gonna work it will have to
Be the best of the best if I wanna keep my 1 ton running gear axle shafts for the front are $1500
Just ask your self what your gonna do with the truck

ok cool yeah 300 - in rpms would be sweet!! i can pull any thin i want or need to now.. ithink a 373 would be a good gear.. you can still pull and get good hw milage as well thanks man
My buddies sd has 373 at 55 to 60 I think it needs more rpm. It kicks down alot towing 8000. Its a 4r100 though. Pulls good when it shifts. I just hate it.
with 37's i would keep your 4.10's. i would think 3.73s would be a little doggish on 37 inch tires. i got 3.73s on 35's and am going to be going the 4.10 route on the 35's. couldnt picture 37's with a 3.73 there is a reason it came as a stock gear with 275 tires from the factory. i do know the motors have the torque to turn the tires, but when you start depending on the torque of the engine to turn the tires instead of the correct gearing, thats when things start to break
I know someone has already suggested the gearvendor, and I know there high in price, but I my self think they are well worth it, i know in my suburban i have one and at 2000 rpm, i engage it i drop to 1500, they say its a 25% drop in rpms across the board so the more rpms you run the more drop you gain, and you can over drive the gears inbetween which make it great for pulling grades, before in my suburban i would pull hills where 3rd was to tall of a gear, and second was to short, but now i can do second over on the gear vendor and its great, they say you can also pick up 25% more mpg, and i think i actually get better then that in my suburban
I got 3.73s with 33s and run about 2200 rpm at 70. I got used SD gears. The rear set I got off eBay and the front set from a junk yard I found on Car-Part.com. If you get OEM 10.5 gears, you need to use an inner pinion bearing for a 10.5.
