Question, when I shut my truck down I can watch my fuel pressure drop rapidly. Is this normal, or am I getting air in somewhere? Also if truck sits for a day or so, it starts then dies, and then it takes a few seconds to fire back up. Is this due to the fuel pressure dropping as soon as I turn the truck off?
How's your r.r. setup. Do you still use the oem hard fuel lines? If so, ford has a bleedoff checkvalve at the poerts where the hardlines connect to heads. It was needed or else there wud be 75+psi sitting dormant in the fuel rails while trucks off. Can't see that being gud on injectors or orings
No stock hardlines left. but I also had to relocate the fuel pump about mid-ship to get it in-between my filters, I could not use the stock pushlock fittings on the pump and had to go another route. could I be getting air in by the pump.
No, the stock pump lines were horrible. If replaced with fuel line and hose clamps, I don't think airs introduced there, or anywhere. When my wvo gets low, or when I turn, and pump loses fluid, I se my fuel psi gauge drop to 0. When you turn ur truck off, fluid draws back, from the regulator, back thru the heads, out the fuellines,ba k to down thru filters and pump, ending in the tank....
ok. just really weird, I can't figure out why it will fire immediately then die, then I have to crank on it for 15 or so seconds to get her to fire up. But once she does, runs like a raped ape.
from tank, I went to water seperator, fuel pump, fuel filter, then to a T-fitting to the rear of the heads, from the front of heads to regulator and from bottom of regulator to return line.

how rapidly is the drop off?? mine takes appx 15 minutes to drop close to 0..at first it was quick and I found a leak in the fitting on the back of the passanger side head..
psi setting is at 65, return line is good, just running a stock pump, I have a fuelab I was gonna put in, but don't want to do that much work. Maybe just get a walbro and call it BUENO
it takes about 2 minutes to drop to zero, but I cannot find a leak anywhere, unless it's small enough I don't notice a whole lot of fuel. right now I am doing injector o-rings and have everything apart. probably be a good time to look closer while it's all apart.
