hey guys i was just wondering if it was possible to run a electric fuel pump like a stock superduty fuel pump as a transer pump that sends fuel to the main fuel pump in the valley???? i was just wondering if it would mess anything up with our stock fuel pump system since i know there isnt any fuel pressure going into the pump, it is only vacuming fuel from the tank.....soo i thought maybe if i had a pump sending fuel from the tank to the fuel pump in valley there will be plenty enough fuel soo the engine will not starve???? well thanks alot guys i was just wondering if it would screw up my stock set up thanks!!!!
no,lets see if i can type this and make sence.on the obs trucks.the stock fuel pump has 2 sides low and high pressure.it pumps fuel from the tank to the bowl on the low side then it come back out of the bowl to the high pressure side and then into the engine.the stock fuel bowl and pump wont handle the high pressure.it will make a big mess if not a fire
you can put the SD pump on with a SD fuel bowl and have no problem
i run 2 SD pumps that are inbetween 2 filters mounted on the frame, the wifes truck runs the same but with one pump.both with a regulator on the return
