another transmission interchange
is the transmission bolt pattern on a 289 and 302 them same? what about a 351w and a 289? I thought that they were but my neighbor says that thier not? which is it?

An early 289 only uses 5 bolts to hold the bellhousing to the engine, the later ones use 6. The 5 bolt wont bolt to a newer block. Otherwise they are all the same.
