What do ya know...found something else that needs fixin
So my left rear shock is just sitting loose in there. Is connected at the bottom but I grabbed it to pull myself up after finishing the brakes and its not connected at the top. Loose like it just broke off up there. Is this something that I'm going to have to weld in or what? Is this a normal replacement part I can get?
Post a picture of the top of the shock and the upper shock mount.
The upper bolt may have snapped or the nut may have backed its way off. Or the eyelet on the shock came apart/ weld broke connecting it to the shock body.
Those upper shock mounts are always rusting out. Youll have to drill out 3 rivets and use a punch to remove whats left of it. Then you just bolt the new one back in its place. Very easy and shouldnt take you longer then a couple hours
