Hesitation Problem

I am having issues with my 2007 diesel that does not show up with any codes at the dealer.truck has run fine until last year when returning from Ford show in Carlisle. filled up in Carlisle to come home and part way truck developed a miss or hesitation which seemed to go away after awhile and had no more problem.this year went to the show again and filled up at a different station and part way home had the same problem only worse.Ford dealer ran it again and no codes.i haven't driven it much as my wife is afraid to go too far in it.my Ford mechanic said that it could be the fuel he says the fuel is not as good as we have.has any body else had this issue and could it be the egr? THANKS

I would have to question the quality of the fuel due to the fact you only have had problems when filling up in that area. Do you experience any problems in your home area? And yes poor quality fuel will affect the way they run. Do you use the OEM fuel filters when you do your service?

if u had bad fuel the very 1st time, did u change out ur fuel filters back then? do u still continue to change out ur fuel filters every 15000 miles? if not, then it may be an inherent problem.

I would check the fuel filters as well as your FICM voltages. I also have an 07 and started having a similar problem right out of the blue (was on holidays also). The local dealership was useless. The FTE forum has been awesome. After much legwork It seems my problem has been low voltage from my FICM. Sending mine off to FICM repair tomorrow

Have you added any PM22A Motorcraft Diesel Cetane Booster and Performance Improver.
I use it every tank. I would also think if you know the fuel is not so good that it is a good
reason to at least add when your filling up there.
