abs problem HELP

Ok so my abs light is on speedo doesnt work and i replaced the rear vss sensor. The truck is throwing a p0500 code in the abs system and a p0603 code on the ecm side. I kno the p0500 is a wheel speed sensor or abs module problem. Anyway to pinpoint what side is the issue? Any help would be great.

Have you recently gone to larger wheels/tires or installed a lift of any sort? Have you had brake work done recently?

Lol...... I asked because that is when my ABS light started coming on as well. I installed a Bilstein Levelling Kit along with a trac bar and 35" tires and when I turned my wheels sharp to the left the drivers side tire would touch the frame a little...... just so happens there is a little black ABS line that the tire will rub once and awhile. Check that line closely..... I noticed my ABS light seemed to come on more often if I was driving through water or rainy/slushy conditions.

I also changed out the ABS sensor on the rear diff as the plug had been damged at some point.

Ill check all the lines but the wires seem to be fine. Ive been running 35s for aboug 9 months now and havent had a problem. The light always stays on now and will go out if i hit a bump just right

Could be the actual harness and not the sensor. The dealer sells a replacement harness and wire that u can splice in.

When I installed my levelling kit and tires the abs light was intermittent (like yours went on and off with bumps and wet conditions). I just left it for about 2 years and it seldom came on... however one day after driving for a few hours the light came on, kicked off my cruise control and the speedometer jumped a bit. This was when I looked at the rear diff sensor. Someone on the forum was having an issue with "engine stumble" at maintained highway speed similar to mine and suggested the fix... It worked for the abs light and speedo problem but my stumble was an IPR.

ABS light hasn't come on in awhile but it will once winter gets here.

Its kicking my truck out of its tunes and reverting it to stock so i need to fix it. Can i see if im getting voltage to the rear end? To the front? What are the readings? It also wont let me get into the abs system through the obd2

I think you need an AE to read ABS codes or take to the dealer. Both my SCT and my Insight will not retrieve ABS codes. You may be able to ohm test the sensors but I don't know for sure.... Bismic, M-Chan, Cheezit or Benny will know about that one.
