Skipping noise in engine
I just did tuneup on 2005 Ford Escape 3.0 V.6 four wheel drive. Changed the spark plughs and wireset. Did not change the ginition coil. When the engine run and heat up there is a skipping sound like the vehicle is loosing power.

This year of 3.0 Escapes have ECM problems.
Your computer maybe failing. We just replaced out daughters computer,
plugs and coil packs.
Have the computer checked before doing any more parts replacement.
Your dealer or VERY well qualified shop can do the check for your.
A few hundred on testing is better than thousands in repair if trying
to operate this truck as is.

These vehicles have a Coil on Plug system so if you changed the 'wires' you had to have changed the ignition coil(s).
My first guess would be wires plugged into the wrong coil. But that should cause you to feel a mis right away.
Next would be a bad gap on one of the plugs or a torn boot on a coil.
Are you getting a check engine light? If so have it read and they can tell you which cylinder(s) it is that is causing the issue.
