I had an interesting issue crop up today on my wife's 2002 Tribute. One of the hinges for the rear glass came apart - the upper right hinge. What I mean is that what looks like a screw from the inner half of the hinge is no longer threaded into the outer half of the hinge (this is the screw that passes through the glass). Has anyone else ever had this happen? I think that I should be able to reassemble the hinge and am thinking of putting some epoxy on the entire assembly to improve the grip of the screw. I was teasing my wife that the spirit of our 92 SHO caused the hinge to fail because her Tribute is very close to passing the mileage we had on her SHO prior to selling it - 199,550 miles. The Tribute should turn over 200,000 miles on Monday unless something else bad happens.
I took my window out to tint it and the hing that bolts thru the glass stripped I drilled it out and tapped the hole 1/4 -20 been over a year no issues with mine.

x2 sorta on my Exploder.
Drilled all the way through both the glass and body sides. Put a 1" SS round headed screw through to a nylock nut with some larger diameter washers and a plastic grommet. Used the stock plastic also on the glass side. Sealed the screw with silicone as I threaded it in. I think I used 3/16", very close to the OEM size, so the screw isn't loose at all.
