Throttle Linkage Change Over.

I am in the process of gathering all the parts necessary to change over my 272 Y-block to a 4-barrel carb (most likely Edelbrock). I have the 4-barrel air intake, but nothing else. My question is; has anyone done this to their Y-block and what did you use for the throttle linkage? I believe that all 4-barrel carbs have acuators on the left, while the my stock 2-barrel carb is actuated from the right (passenger side.) Do I have to use the Ford linkage or will just any old linkage bolt in on the firewall?

Thanks, Jag

Jag, If you use the gas pedal linkage from a 6 cyl truck it line up perfectly on the driver side for the Y block 4 v carb.

I sent a PM also

Hey Jag, all I did was use the V8 linkage and cut it off and rewelded to fit my needs for the Edelbrook carb I used. Looks and works just fine. Pics if needed.
