Throttle Linkage

I am putting a '61 292 in my 55 f250 and I am wondering about the throttle linkage. Will the original linkage connect to the newer carb(2100)? Or will I have to make some modifications? If so what?

Throttle Linkage

The linkage goes on the driver's side on '57 and later carbs. Your's will have the linkage on the passenger side.

Throttle Linkage

If the 55 linkage connects to the passenger side of the carb, how can I chage it to connect to the dirver's side? I know that the carb on the '61 292 I am installing connects to the driver's side. Can I bend the existing linkage? or how can I fabricate something to work?

Throttle Linkage

Do most of you weld up a new throttle rod to the existing linkage?
Or are there bolt up kits? I would like it to look kind of nice.

any suggestions?
