I WORK AS A FLEET MECHANIC FOR A SMAL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY..IAM HAVEING ISSUES WITH A TRUCK THAT I NEED SOME HELP WITH...ILL START WITH ITS A 2004 F350 V10 WITH DRW..THE TRUCK HAD A NASTY DRIVE LINE VIBRATION FOR THE PAST FEW MONTHS..MY BOSS DIDNT WANA FIX IT 2 WEEKS AGO THE TRANS BLEW UP ..LIKE SOMEONE STUCK A STICK OF TNT IN IT..HEAR IS THE PROBLEM GOT A USED TRANS PUT IT IN ..NEW RANGE SWITCH.BOTH SPEED SENSORS NEW FLUIDS AND FILTERS AND INSTALLED A AFTERMAFKET TRANS COOLER AND GOT RID OF THE STOCK ONE..THE TRUCK DIDNT SHIFT INTO OVERDRIVE. AND WAS SLIPPING VERY BADLY..SO GOT A REMANED ONE AND THE SAME ISSUES ARE HEAR AGAIN ..OVER DRIVE LIGHT FLASHING BUT NO CODES..ANY IDEA WOULD GRATLEY HELP AND I DONT HAVE A GOOD ENOUGH SCANNER TO CHECK ANYTHING IN THE TRANS EXCEPT CODES ...IF ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS OR IDEAS PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL ME ASAP ..THANK ALL OF YOU SO MUCH JUST FOR READING THIS
scanned it no codes present or pending...same issues as second trans not shifting rite .seems to shift to soon and slipping very badly and not going into over drive..i cant get it past 30 mph..the driveline vibration i had was 45mph +++ so i cant even test that issue yet eather ..sucks cause my boss wants to send it to a friends shop..i feel like iam getting **** on..iam lost ..the guy told my boss that the stock cooler has check valves in it..never herd of anything like this before..and he told him that the range sensor could cause this.. i put the truck in nutrel and lined the switch up and ive installed many aftermarket trans coo;ers befor and never had a issue..to test what the guy said about the cooler i blew air into the cooler and flowed both ways ..i do know the trans fittings that go into the trans have check *****...please help..
You may double check all your electrical connections. When I replaced the transmission in my 04 Silverado I had, I bent one of the pins on one connector and it caused it to not shift at all. The slipping issue you are having sounds weird, but I would at least start with that. Also the trans isn't over or underfilled is it?
