Big thumps up to my dad for hooking me up! And to bobby and the boys at Flippin Rigs! Great work!
Having moved to Florida progress had come to a halt since my truck is 12hrs away haha but it was a nice surprise to see all the progress when me and my wife came to visit!
Ok looks like im resurrecting this old build thread haha. Nobody probably cares but its Saturday morning and im bored. 👍
So i guess about 8months ago i finally got the call that my truck was ready to get hauled down from AR. So after a long wait finally was able to get my truck and start making progress again. The truck ran and drove but still had a long ways to go before being road worthy. I had a lot of little things to replaced and maintenance to do. New batteries, alternator, water pump, a pretty sexy mishimoto aluminum radiator, a few seals here and there, fuel bowl rebuild, new fuel tank, dp-tuner 6position chip.
Even though the wiring was done i still had work to do in that area. In order for the transmission to shift correctly the reas vss had to be wired to the speedo out of a 97 so it could communicate with the computer. Stuff you learn during a project.
Since moving to Florida my over all plans for the truck have changed a lot. Originally i wanted to make it as tall as possible with military tires. Instead i decided to go with 40s and keep the ride somewhat comfortable and build more of a show truck. Not doing much offroading down here so going a different direction with the truck.
So as of right now im getting exhaust work done and my bumpers ordered. Taking it to get painted this month. Very excited for paint and body to be done! I decided to go with a current ford truck color J7. Its magnetic metallic. Mettalic dark grey i guess would describe it best.
But anyways thats my update and ill post some pictures to show some of the progress made. 👍
Im sure this won't be everyones taste but respect my build. 👍 and if anybody would like to see more photos and video head over to instagram and find me @coalburning78
Also im not sure why, but it posted all the photos in reverse order haha
