Canadian VIN, codes stamped on the Warranty Plate same as US trucks beginning in 1966.

1946/68: Trucks assembled in Canada were only sold new in Canada (with one exception) because of tariffs that existed between the US & Canada.

Tariffs "went away" in late 1967, Mercury trucks cancelled, Ford trucks assembled specifically for the Canadian market cancelled.

Exception: 1965/67 Crew Cabs sold new in the US/Canada were assembled in Oakville, Ontario. All 1968/79 Crew Cabs assembled there.

Well I had a look the driver side door and there is no warranty plate, must of got lost over the years. Conclusion, truck must of been painted sometime early in its life but more importantly it's now dark jade metallic and that's what I needed to know. Thanks guys for all the help. I sure I will need it again lol.

Yea I thought it was Dark Jade lol. It must have been 2 tone because Number Dummy said the same thing I did.
