Help with paint code and touch-up paint

There are several areas on my truck (the one in my signature) that I need to clean up, primer and put paint on. I need to paint the whole truck, but I want be able to for about another year. In the mean time, I need to do some touch-ups. What I need is help in determining the paint color that is on my truck. The sticker on the door is a little hard to read, but I found these numbers on the sticker ( 9M & 21). I'm not sure if this is the paint code, but it was right next to the "exterior paint" heading on the sticker. If it isn't, can someone tell me what a paint code will look like/what to look for? The truck is white (original color), and I'm tempted to just run down to the local hardware and try to match something up, but I do want it to looks as close as possible to the original white. Any help appreciated.

Ok, I've done a little more looking and "9M" is the paint code. I've looked it up and it is the correct color white that is on the truck now. Now my question is whether I can buy touch up paint in spray cans, or should I just consider buying a pint or so of this color and try to spray the bad areas myself with a spray gun? Admittedly I'm not a painter, but I'm wondering if I could do a good enough job to tie me over until I can get it painted by a professional? If someone could tell me how I should proceed with this, I would be grateful? Thanks very much.
