help with starter
Be very careful removing the starter. The same two long bolts that hold the starter on the truck also holds it together. It may want to come apart in your hands as you guide it down. Once off, I usually screw a nut on the bolts to keep it together until I am ready for it to come apart. The starter comes off the truck first, then the drive comes off the starter.

There will or should be a small bracket on the end of the long bolt going to the oil pan remove the bolt from the oil pan first, then the other 2.
Like Dan said be carefull you don't pull them bolts out to far, just enough to remove the starter from the bell housing.

Make sure you get that rear bracket put back in place where it bolts to the oil pan.
Some times it get on the wrong way and you can't get it bolted up there. It does take a lot of strain and weight off the starter motor.
