SCT Programmer Decisions......
I have a bit of $$$ burning a hole in my pocket and I have decided to spend it on a tuner. I have read nothing but great things about Gearheads as well as Innovative Diesel.
Here's the thing.... The Innovative Diesel Handheld comes with 5 "Custom" tunes with the ability to add 3 more custom tunes down the road at a price of $539.00.... see below;
Innovative Diesel 3015-ID Custom Pre-Programmed SCT Handheld
The Gearheads Handheld only comes with 3 tunes for $425.00 and by the sounds of it, if I want his custom tunes it will cost another $100.00 bringing the price up to $525.00 for only 3 custom tunes..... let me know if I have that wrong? See below for the link;

The Innovative unit seems like a much better deal for only $14.00 more (assuming I have the pricing correct for the Gearheads unit including the $100 package SRL,8K Tow, & Unlimited Tow)... my truck is not studded so I am not interested in the crazy SRL+ or Extreme SRL.

Im not sure how the custom tunes are but i know the canned tunes really wake the 6.0L up. I tried all the canned tunes and ended up using the 50HP tow tune, mostly due to the fact that the street tune seemed to be too much considering that my motor is stock with the exception of the banks 4" exhaust and i also didnt like the fact that the street tune caused black smoke when you get on it. I have the SCT that comes preloaded with 3 tunes and the ability to add 3 custom tunes, the SCT part number is 3015. But with out a doubt it will surprise you how much difference it makes.
