Can some one out there tell me the difference between the SC Flashpaq, and the SC SCT tuners. I am new to this diesel stuff. First diesel 05 6500 miles
no mods yet.
I am not that familiar with the FlashPAQ but I am sure VIC or Mark will be around to tell you all about it. I don't believe that it has custom tunes availible though. SCT can run custom tunes. Most people I deal with get tow, street, and race tunes. There alse different option that you can do with an SCT like eliminating the top speed (by raising high enought that you won't get there), PI, aggressive tow/haul, disabling certain devises. If you have any questions about SCT let me know. I will let the experts tell you about the flash paq.
So what you are saying is the SCT will allow you do custom tunes, along with the (3) basic tune that all the tuners seem to have. Can the SCT download the latest flashes from the internet? When you say it can disable certin devises do you mean things like the infamous EGR valve operation?
Yes that is what I was reffering too. You can buy one of two SCT XCAL2's. The one has generic canned SCT programs on it. The other will come with 3 custom tunes. Some tuners will charge for updates and some will not, it just depends on the tuner that you chose. Most custom tuners (but not all) will email you files.
I'm a FlashPaq owner and have been very pleased. I spoke to SuperChips a week ago and they said that the first part of May they will offer Custom Tunes for just about anything you want.

I knew it was coming.
I was doing a lot of propane work before I lift there, especially with the cummins...........you wanna talk about some torque? LOL.
I just got my new Flashpaq in the mail today and almost ripped it out of the UPS guys hand to get it in. Im going from a SCT micro tuner to a Flashpaq. I did this to be able to adjust for the 36-12.50-17 mud grapplers and to fix the latest Ford flash in my truck that sucked the power right out of it. WOW... I finally have my tire smokin fire breathin bad *** truck back. I have only tried in performance mode and what a difference it makes. Its in a 04 CC SD 4x4 ...42000 mi. 8" lift 36" tires. The rest of the truck is stock. I will try the other modes and post soon. SC FASHPAQ kicks some major BUTT.
