Could it be...
Could it be...
My waterpump, or something else? I noticed last night that there was a big puddle of coolant under my truck(90 7.3) and the only place I could see it coming from was behind the crank pulley. I cant see the seep hole on the pump, but after checking the bearings they don't seem to be bad. Is there anything else I should look for/at before I take it apart? Is there anything else I should replace while I'm there? And could I switch to an extended life coolant at this time?

Anti-freeze...I use Fleetcharge...has everything you need to protect...for 100k miles...Don't have to buy extra junk like test strips...sca's...Just pour it in with distilled for a 50/50 mix and go...
Hope that helps....

Yeah just read the bottle...it will tell you what is what...
sounds like it is water pump related. first thing is try to tighten the water pump mounting bolts just to see if they have worked them selves loose.
if that checks out good then it will probly be time for a new pump. there is little weep hole on the bottom of the pump and when you start getting coolant out of that it is time for replacement. if you have a little mirror then you could look at the bottom of the pump. the hole will be right at the 6 'o clock position on the pump. since the hole is on the bottom of the pump any coolant that comes out of it will drip down behind the crank pulley. mine did that before i replaced the pump. no more green for me.
