Oasis report

Does anyone know how to get an oasis report? The dealers around here are reluctant to give me one. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I've tried locally for over a year with no luck. With all the problems I'm having it would be great to know the history. If you find a way please share.

That's why it helps to develope a relationship with the dealer and not just expect them hand out freebies to just anyone off the street.

Buy a $11 72-hour subscription. I can't remember if it's a real OASIS, or if it's just a bunch of similar info that also shows up on that report, but it let me run multiple VINs through some kind of system. Info like build dates and some other stuff.

Have you asked your local dealer of you could purchase one..its actually pretty valuable information..

Edit:Have you been to the dealer,or just call? I would go there in person...and be nice..

First of all it is ignorant to assume that I, or anyone else for that matter is running around to dealers looking for "freebies" I purchased my truck at the dealer i was asking for the report from, so i didnt think it was an unreasonable request. Had they told me there was charge for the report I would have paid the fee.
And thanks for the tip Texastech i will go that route and see if i can find what i am looking for there.

I actually doubt you even asked anyone and was just looking for a hand out here...

Just sayin'

If you bought the truck at the dealer talk to your salesman that actually knows you and not a service advisor that doesn't.

Remember... It's all in who you know

I did Schlep, I asked them about it when I was picking my truck up from the transmission service I was having them do.

I had to reread my post, wanted to make sure it didnt sound like i was asking for a hand out. Nowhere in my post do i see me asking for someone to run my vin, not exactly sure how you got that out of what i posted.

Actually I have had my local dealer do all the maintenance on my truck, hundreds if not thousands of dollars, but was constantly given excuses why I could not get a report. Even three times the "system" was down.
Thanks texastech for the info.

Hear is a guess as to why the handout idea came
up. I have see several times on FTE where some
one had posted there VIN asking for a report.
Don't take everything on the net like it is
directed at you. Or grow some thicker skin.

When I got my truck in March I asked the Ford
dealership for an oasis and a copy of the work that they
had just finished. Answer to that was Not A Problem
I walked out with reports in hand.

The thickess of my skin is just fine i knew what he was getting at, and the post was directed at me, after all he was replying to a post that i created. A simple reply like texas made was more than adequate. I could see that type of response had i posted my vin. And if an oasis report is something they are not allowed to give out, then a post stating as such would have been fine too. If you reread what I wrote with an unbiased mind you might see where i took it as directed at me.
