reverse aid sensor

Someone posted a problem with the reverse aid sensor but mine is a little different.

2008 F250 Lariat. Put the truck in reverse and it has a continuous beep from the sensor (when there is nothing behind me) and every time I need to hit the button to shut it off.

The surface of the sensors on the bumper all show a white film that cannot be removed. Im guessing that I need to replace them.

Where can I get replacements?

I'd say the dealer right off the bat. You can also check your local Craig's List and E-bay. I don't know about any aftermarket place, but I'm sure they're out there.

Do you have any extra brake lights hooked up? When I had a camper shell on my truck and wired the third brake light into the trailer brake signal it would make my reverse sensors freak out. Unhooked the camper light from the trailer signal and they work fine now. I guess it confused the system into thinking there was a trailer behind me?
