Reverse Sensor System
I have 2001 f250 super duty extended cab lariat 4x4 and I was wondering about the back up sensor. It dosent work.I can push the switch on the dashboard when I am in park and the light goes off but as soon as i put it in reverse the light goes back on it gives off 1 beep and light goes back on.does anyone know how to check out,repair this system?

I have the exact same truck with the sensors. As soon as you put the truck in reverse it will turn itself on, even if you have turned it off previously. You must turn it off after you put it in reverse. Check the sensors and make sure that they are clean, even the slightest bit of dirt sets mine off like crazy. If you suspect something is wrong about all you can do is remove the sensors and try cleaning the contacts but if that doesn't work I am afraid that it is a work or dont work part. You may need to get a sensor or two if one went bad. Also, on our year there was a factory recall about the sensors going off for no reason so call you dealer and see if they will repair under the recall, as that is what mine did. Best of luck!
