I had to change my User name due to a login problem with this forum, but I wanted to let you know what finally fixed this.
I ended up changing my thermostat.
It was what I initially thought but at the time I wasn't sure how to get to the screws to remove it.
The thermostat is in a housing and the screws are a little difficult to locate. After see a picture of the housing and with the use of a mirror I was able to locate and remove the screws.
The temperature is running good now.
Thank you for all of your help.
