Erratic idle 302 5.0
The '92 in my sig has an erratic idle. It's usually idles nice and smooth when I first start it up in the morning, and usually when I get somewhere and I put it in park it begins to idle really high. What's up with that?
Looks like the distributor cap/rotor and ignition coil are original. Should I begin there? Seems like it's timing related.

Had problems what I believed to be a 305 in my LeMans years ago. Put a carb kit in with no improvement. then I had the catalytic converter changed... found out it was a 351 orange block and lost some rubber comin outta the garage!
