90 302 high idle
I have a problem with a 90 f150 has 302 fuelinjection is automatic it idles around 1800 in park drops to about 1000 in drive. Have checked for vacuum leaks and replaced the idle air control valve. Not sure what else to do. Any suggestions?

Its possible the throttle plates are carboned up as well ? It doesnt take a lot to increase the idle . I use a can of Spray Carb Tune Up Cleaner from Ford and a bottle brush to scrub the plates . If they have never been cleaned before , let the cleaner sit for awhile after spraying and then scrub them .
