Hoping for a little help on this strarting problem.
I have a 69 F100 Ranger that is causing my problems. The engine is a 93
302 ci that runs great. It is a little difficult to start but not bad.
The carb has been rebuilt, new plugs and wires, timing set, carb adj.so it runs with no hesitation, and is electronic ignition. Replaced the battery with stronger than needed and replaced the ignition module. Since it is a 93 engine it is equipted with an electric fuel pump.
I will start it and drive 20 miles till all is at operating temp and wait till i get home before I dare shut it down. I then try to start it and no way. Just turns over. A few days ago someone checked and told me I was not getting fire so was advised to get the module. Tried it today and no help. I didnt check for spark.
Can u get a vapor lock with electric fuel pump ?
Can a coil get warm then breakdown?
It starts and runs great after 30-45 min.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
