1998 expedition misfire

1998 expedition misfire
We just bought a used 98 Expedition, it runs fine until we have it loaded and start going up a hill, the the check engine light starts blinking (book says engine misfire) and you can feel it miss. Get over the hill and missfire and blinking light quits and it runs great again. Tried to pull code but when we hook up computer it doesn't find any because the light has went off. What do I need to do?

And while you're in there change your PCV and check all your vacuum connections/elbows, especially the one at the rear of the intake as they like to come apart in the middle of the bend.
