brake fluid loss

ok my expedition has been setting for three months and I go to get in it and I push on the brake pedal and it travels all the way to the floor I get out to look at the fluid level and it is about half empty so I go to the parts store and get some brake fluid and come back and the fluid is about empty. well my first thought was the master cylinder but there is no fluid between the master and booster so I look at each wheel to see if maybe a rotor was shot but all inside the wheels were dry. I started following lines but as far as i can see they are dry. my question is has anyone had an issue with the brake booster? Maybe it is leaking inside the brake booster or maybe a line I could not see. Are there any brake lines prone to going bad on these things. its a 97 expedition 4wd .

In theory since the vacuum in the booster is on the same side as the master cylinder it is possible it is sucking the brake fluid out into the booster and then into the intake. Take the master cylinder off the booster and look for fluid.

I found out is actually leaking quite a bit where the metal line meets the rubber one. I was raining thats why i could not see it. Does anyone know the size of the brake line. It is 60in long how big around is it. I just wanted to know before I go to the parts store because they have no clue what they are talking about.
