I am about ready to buy a new truck, my '05 Super Duty 6.0 has 134K, so I think I am ready. Some of my questions: when will the '13 be for sale and should I consider another diesel. I have loved this 6.0 but not keen on the idea of paying $6500-$7000 more than a gasser. If I remenber my 05 was $5200 more. This '05 has been the best truck I have ever owned. THANKS FORD.
Any replies would be welcome and thanks for your time.
I got the most rebates on my 11 when the 12's were coming out. The rebates were about 5k more off a diesel SD vs. a gas SD at the time so really I only paid 4k for the diesel (canadian pricing).
We ordered our 2012 two weeks ago to tow our 30' Airstream. We ordered an F250 6.6 Diesel Crew with 6.5 bed and most options. We got a $9,000 discount plus an exceptional trade on our F150. Dealers have an allocation on trucks, so any dealer with 2012 allocation left will want to deal as their 2013 allocation of trucks is based on the number of 2012 units they sell.
The 2013's are currently for sale if you want to order. I have been hearing that they will be hitting the lots sometime in October.
IMO- I would get the 2012 if your trying to save a couple bucks. That being said, make sure you are getting what you want. I have searched high and low, and Ford has located only 1 truck that meets the specs im looking for in the New England area. It's about 2 hours from me but the dealer I do all my business with locally said they will get me that truck and is giving me a better deal than the people who own it.
I plan to wait until I see the first 2013's actually hit the lot before I pull the trigger. The pictures they have of the truck have snow on it. We havent had that kind of snow since January so Im betting they will go a bit lower to finally get rid of it.
The diesels have been getting great reviews and I can not wait to own one. The $8,000 is going to be worth it in the long run of this vehicle.
