Is July pretty much around the time Ford ramped up going from 2011-2012 ?
Would it be safe to say if you had a 07/2011 build date you have the last of that model year in production ?
Read this over at TDS from a couple of dealers (one of which seems pretty reliable)..
The 2012 SuperDuty is scheduled to be built until October 19th, with first retail production on the ‘13 estimated to start November 1st. The ’13 order bank is supposed to open August 15th, but it would be mid-November at the earliest before we saw a truck.

My dealer told me the same thing
last date to order 2012 is the middle of September
Let me just say this about that (Richard Nixon). My ordered 2011 Lariat came in 4th July weekend 2011 and before I even saw it, it was destroyed at the dealer by a brand new 2011 Raptor. How would you like to explain that to your boss. I ordered a 2012 the 2nd week of July and drove it to the 4 Town Fair on Sept 15. Everyone was checking it out.

This is the most correct answer. I am looking to order a new F-550 and my friend/buddy/dealer owner said that 2012 Super Duty production is 'built out', meaning they have enough orders to finish off 2012 production.
Since there is not much change from 2012 to 2013 there should not be much of a slowdown in trucks popping out the door. Maybe a few days to adjust for option changes, moving out old parts and moving in the new stuff and such.
I worked at dealers for over 22 years and there is NO set day/week/month that one model year ends and the next begins. Sometimes stuff even gets held up due to marketing schedules. Sometimes stuff is held up for legal (emmision) reasons too. There are many factors that are involved in the decision of when to cut the cord.
