Unidentified Electrical Connection
I recently finished diagnosing a problem with my GP system with the help of an older thread I found on this site. The problem ended up being extremely simple, a blown PCM fuse. I replaced said fuse and turned the key only to see smoke start to appear from near the fuse panel. The fuse was blown and upon further inspection I found a loose electrical quick-connect that was the source of the short. The connection seems to be located on the bottom of the brake fluid reservoir.? I was able to get the connection back together temporarily and the truck will now start with no problems. I would however, like to replace this connection..this is where I'm lost, can I simply cut the connector off and replace only the loose end, or do i need to replace the whole connection? Also if anyone can manage to give me the name of this component using the pictures I've attached I would be very grateful.
If that is the case even if you have to pay to
get it done now. DO IT. They have been known
to go up in flames with no one around. Very bad if
parked inside.
