I am having problems with fuse blowing in the brakes /park gear interlock system. the fuse keep blowing indicating a short somewhere in system. by-passing the antilock brake control (jumping -rerouting wire around) stops fuse blowing. PROBLEM, I NEED HELP LOCATING THE ANTILOCK BRAKE CONTROL and how to find wires leading to it. I appreciate any info on this .
Which fuse is blowing? There are at least 2 involved. Does it blow when the pedal is depressed, or when the key is turned on, or as soon as a new fuse is plugged in? One of the fuses is hot all of the time, the other is only hot when the key is in run.
the fuse blow every time you install it.it is the fuse that is hot at all time !! i disconnect hot wire leading to brake light switch and install fuse- it doesn't blow. installing a jumper wire to brake light switch works well - but no anti brake . every thing else is find. not safe !!!

It is probably F13 (20A). If so, you likely have a cruise deactivator switch shorted due to fluid leakage. Did you have the safety recall performed yet? If not, go get it downe NOW. Unplug the harness from the switch which is located on the brake master cylinder in the meantime.

the fuse is in postion #13 on fuse panel - at inside of vehicle - 15amp. i wii disconnect switch at brake master cyclinder to see if fuse stop blowing. does this enable the anti-lock brake control. the problem seems to be in that area. can you tell me where the anti control module is located under the dash and is it easy to get to. i have not got the recall on cruise control repaired yet. the cruise stopped working about 3 years ago. the door ajar light in dash start staying on a couple months ago. i don't think these things has anything to do with the problem. OR DO THEY !!!

The ABS and cruise problems are from the same thing. F13 supplies them both and more, including your brake lights and shifter interlock. You do NOT have ab ABS system problem except for its power feed.
Go get the cruise recall done.
The "door ajar" problem is separate.
SEARCH keywords "door ajar wd40" in this and the F150 forums will answer that issue.

Be specific about what your symptoms are. Are you still blowing the fuse or is it now just a problem with the ABS light on?
If it's just the ABS light, there are many previous posts on what to do in other threads. SEARCH keyword "ABS lite" or "ABS LIGHT"
the dealer said my ABS is not the problem. it is the wiring harness shorted or brake light switch bad. All i know is i put on new switch and the problem didn't go away. the only way i could get brake lights and get it to come out of park was to jump wire across wiring harness and go direct to brake switch with hot wire from fuse panel. IT'S WORKING FINE - BUT CRUISE CONTROL NOT WORKING. The recall work was done only for ford company purpose. the dealer want me to leave it so they can look at it. I can live without the cruise.
