Hey all,,Have recently been getting a "TBC Fault" message and the Beep, as the message goes on and off(annoying) looked around think its the Controler itself,,If I move the slider ****, and Jiggle it,,the message Blinks on and off as I move the Slider,,,Looking for the method of removing it from the Cubby Hole,,,Gave it a tug,,,and wiggle,,did not move,,must have a Clip or Tab to release it,,any help would be Great !!
It just snaps in. No fasteners to remove. I pulled the small glove box down, and then reach in and up to grab the module. Wiggle it around and it will pop out.
charto911,
Have you disassembled the 7 way trailer connector at the hitch yet? I don't have the factory controller - I have a Tekonsha - hooked up to leave after camping and no trailer brakes. My problem was the wiring connector that plugged in to the back of the 7 pin connector at the trailer hitch. I have a pull behind 28' TT. Some cleaning with electrical cleaner and a good solid plug in cured my problem. My F-250 is an 06 also. Four torx screws and an unplug from the wiring harness on the back side and it comes off and apart for easy cleaning.
